FaceBoof! works with industry-standard Quartz Composer Image Filter Effects. Remember when Leopard was introduced and the hot trend was iChat Effects and Photo Booth Effects? Well, those same free effects can be combined together (up to 3 at a time) in FaceBoof! to create multi-effects. Throughout December, 2010, I swiped, typed and clicked my way through 16 hour days in the hope that FaceBoof! would make the Mac App Store launch. Alas, one minor UI glitch and a horrendous project called store receipt verification caused delays.
I know it looks like FaceBoof! is a clone of other apps in the Mac App Store. But it's not true. The first version of FaceBoof! was submitted to Apple App Store Review on December 30th, 2010 - one day before the launch deadline. Unfortunately, there was a small cosmetic bug that prevented Boof from being included in the launch. The rest, they say, is lunch.
